Thanks to some of my friends for emailing me, calling me, and sending texts of well wishes for Addison. She is doing well. I took her to the vet yesterday to get her limp checked out. First, they took her weight...this big girl now weighs 14.9 lbs!!! Geez. She was so well behaved in there. I didn't really expect it...she can be a bit of a bitch. She just flopped from side to side while the vet felt of each leg and hip. He determined that she has a knee cap on her right hind leg that pops in and out of place. Most likely, she has had this problem her entire life {although only about 5% of cats ever have this problem}. The vet showed me pictures and told me that because of her knee cap popping in and out of place, that she has probably now torn the ligament that is there to hold it in place. He gave her an anti-inflammatory shot and told me to keep a close eye on her. This might be something that she has to deal with her entire life. She might pop it out of place and limp for a few days and then it will just fix itself. If it is not any better/or worse in two weeks, I have to take her back in and he said that they can do a surgery where they will go in and stretch the ligament to tie it back in place and repair it. That's not what I want to happen at all! So, please continue to keep little gimp in your thoughts and prayers. 'Preciatcha!

Just a smidgen shy of 15 pounds! That's a girl!
Okay. "Stretching the ligament to tie it back in place" made me hurt a little bit. Poor buddy.
I can always come over and let her love on me if that would make her feel better. She looks so majestic and natural on the vet table.
“Gimp…rhymes with Pimp, Limp, Green Blimp”
Poor girl :( She looks fetching in her photo, though. Maybe you could buy a baby bjorn and carry her with you at all times.
