On Saturday, I stayed up late working on school stuff with my good buddy, Sarah. Seriously. I packed up my printer/copier/scanner trio, a whole bag of school supplies, a whole bag of food, and headed over for a night of fun with her and Daisy Mae. And that's not sarcasm. I had a great night. We stayed up until about 3 AM working on things for school together; mainly math centers. We have the rest of the school year mapped out and I feel really good about what we accomplished!

Normally, Sunday would be very routine. I typically do the same things every Sunday. Since we stayed up until 3 AM, I admit it...I skipped out on Church. The first Sunday of the new year. I had full intentions to go. It just didn't happen. I woke up around 11, since the good ol' iPhone's alarm clock is jacked. I showered, got ready and headed out to shop with Erica and Sarah in Nashville. The good news is that I found a winter white coat! AT LAST! I have lusted after a winter white coat for a few years now, but have never been satisfied with my findings. I'm pretty picky...and I hate to say cheap, but let's face it. I'd rather have three coats than one really expensive coat. I like some variety and enjoy a good bargain. Don't judge.
My coat comes from Guess. It was the outlet store in Lebanon, TN and I got a great deal on it. I love it. This made my first Monday back to work a little easier. Something new to wear always makes me feel like a pretty, pretty princess and puts a lil pep in my step!
After shopping, we had some good eatin' at Cracker Barrell. Would you call the meal between lunch and dinner, "lunner"? That's what we had. The rest of my Sunday consisted of some laundry, dishes, school work, and blogging, of course. Sundays are usually my "clean sheet day". This time I had way too much other laundry to catch up on, so it had to wait. The unfortunate thing about last night, is that I was awake sometime between 2 AM and 3 AM. I laid down at 2, but watched some How I Met Your Mother till who knows when. My Momma called me (I was worred about my phone alarm) at about 5:30 to get me up. UGH. Back to reality. Hard. Core.
I managed to drag myself out of bed, cut a few more things for my math centers, make a pot of coffee, and stumble into the shower. I got myself ready for a day back in kindergarten. I even got to use the Chi straightener that my parents got me for Christmas! I love it, but had only used it 5 times so far. Remember that whole "homeless look"? I arrived at school around 7 AM and prepared for my day. I have to say. All in all, it was a decent first day back. It's no secret that this has not been the best of years for me and for a variety of reasons. My students were a little more mature after this break. Emphasis on a little, because, we are still only 5 or 6, afterall.
Weight watchers started back for me today. I have to lose a little of this extra weight I have managed to put on. I don't want to lose anything drastic. I just want my pants to fit without having to do the whole laying on the bed thing...or even in desperate times, the whole safetypin thing. With the start of weight watchers, it only seemed appropriate to return to my normal gym routine today, as well. I went to TurboKick with Erica and Sarah. I love that class. We got there, walked in, got our spot and were talking. The instructor looks at me and says, "HI!" {In a real excited voice}..."I haven't seen you in a really long time!" {In front of about 15 other strangers}. How embarrassing, but true. I enjoyed myself. It kicked my muffin top and bootie, as always, but I feel refreshed. The gym was followed by some chili and couch time with the season premier of The Bachelor. What a bunch of crazy people. I can't help but watch, but my goodness. There's actually a girl on there with some vampire teeth. Yeah. Crazy. There's only 2 girls on there that I could ever picture myself having dinner with or an attempted friendship. They are from South Carolina. Not much of a shock. We all know I love the South.
I pictured myself asleep well before now. But, here I am at almost midnight. Watching more HIMYM in bed cuddling with Addison. She's such a great snuggler.
I think I'll go give her some of the attention she deserves. Goodnight!
