I should be preparing for a day back to work tomorrow. Instead, I have been watching Pretty Woman and making some changes on this here blog. Hopefully, it will be a little more aesthetically pleasing now. I don't know why I am nervous to return to school tomorrow morning. I already know my students. I know what to expect from them. I have all of my some plans together, but I have a little more to do tonight before bed. I still find myself filled with anticipation. I have been dreading the day of return for a few days now. Don't get me wrong. Being a kindergarten teacher is the best job in the world. However. It's still a job. It's a job that I take very seriously, and therefore spend almost all of my free time thinking about school and working on school things. If I don't do that, I feel very guilty and unprepared. Like I do right now. I feel guilty for not going to the "skoo house" at all on this break. But, I enjoyed it. I relaxed and feel refreshed. It's a catch 22. Let's just hope that tomorrow goes smoothly, because it's back to the grind. For a full 5-day work week. The first one in almost a month. WOO WEE!! Send up a little prayer tonight for this kindergarten teacher. May the chill rens not make me kill over tomorrow.
