I have worked on this post and left it as a draft for quite some time now. I guess it's time to publish it before it's WAY too late. Christmas was wonderful this year. I started off the first night of my Christmas break with the Garth Brooks concert. AH-MAZING. It was great to spend some quality time with my friend, Erin, too.
Later in the week, I traveled to Richmond, where I went to high school. I spent some quality time with my friends, Tiffany and Robyn. We went to Lexington to see The Breedings play a show. I went to the same high school as Willie and Erin. I stayed with Willie when I went to NYC a few years ago while he was living there. This was one of my favorite nights of my break. I got to see so many people that I haven't seen in a long time and enjoy some great tunes. {sigh}
The next night was our annual friends Christmas exchange. We have had this tradition for 14 years now. It's so hard to believe! Some of us have had to miss for some reason or another, but we have kept this tradition going and I do not see it ending. I love catching up with these girls during this time.
We always have a good time when we get together and we catch up. Unfortunately, this is sometimes the only time I get to see some of these girls. I'm still grateful for the time I get with them.
I left Richmond and traveled a little farther East to Hazard. There, I went to visit my Papaw. He is the only living grandparent that I have and I REFUSE to take him for granted. I will go see him each and every time that I am in town. I love that man and he inspires me to be better.
The next few days were spent with my parents, my brothers, sister-in-laws, and nieces and nephews. It was a fun time. I am always ready to come back home to BG, though. I made it back here, babysat my favorite BG kids, Emma and Will. Lots of laziness and relaxation was had. Then there was NYE. You already know that story, but I finally put the pictures on my computer so I can share a few!
I hope you enjoyed your Holidays. And this super late post. ;)
