Strength

Where do you draw your strength? Who is the strongest person that you know or have ever known? These are questions that are running through my mind today. The strongest person that I have ever known is my Granny. She died when I was a freshman in high school. Although I was young when she died, I remember watching her fight for her life.

Granny had lung cancer. She went through chemo and became sick and lost her hair. Despite the trials that she was put through and the suffering she endured, she fought. She fought harder than any of us fought for her. Maybe it was so that we didn't have to fight so hard.

So, where do you draw your strength? Is is God or another higher power? Is it your family or your friends? Is it even someone who has passed away many years ago, as it is for me.

Not a single day goes by that I don't think about Granny and miss her. But, on the other hand, not a single day goes by that I don't think of her and find strength.

My Granny was one of the strongest women I knew, as well. My mom, her daughter, is the second strongest. I'm not sure if it's because I want to be just like my mom when I grow up or if it's really her strength, but I definitely turn to her more frequently than anyone else.

Great post.

My Gram is one of the strongest people I know! She has been through a lot from coming to America from Italy to almost passing on us this year but making a AMAZING recovery and just celebrated her 86th birthday.

Awesome post!
